General description: Weldapp
The Weldapp stores all crucial information generated from the input of the general information on a welded joint to the final acceptance of the joint. A user of the application gets a tool which enables downloading or review of the data concerning consecutive phases of the ‘welded joint life’ (incl. of related documents, i.e. drawings, WPS, testing reports, etc.).
Data input to the application
Records regarding the consecutive phases of the ‘welded joint life’ are made by Users who have different access rights related to dedicated role on the project. The access rights are connected with a position within the project team: Project Manager, Production Foreman. Welding Engineer, Quality Inspector, NDT Laboratory, Third Party Inspector, etc. In other words, each User can input or edit only such records regarding the registered welded joints which are covered by the field of authority of the User on the Project.
The Weldapp, due to its consistent operation scenario developed on the basis of the production practice and also due to a structure of the data base makes the identification of the welded joints and their history very quick. Incorporated mechanisms of traceability allow for the immediate access to the key information on the welded joint development phases, inspection and testing (time, user, welder, foreman, et.) and documents (technical drawings, WPS, NDT reports).
Furthermore, the Weldapp makes it possible to generate testing plans according to algorithms of standards DNV-OS-C401, NORSOK M 101 and GL-COWT:2012. On request and after additional agreements and in co-operation with a Customer further algorithms of the planned testing can be implemented.
It shall be noted, however, the Weldapp facilitates the co-operation with NDT laboratory which gets a tool for planning, review and uploading tests results thus increasing the effectiveness of the co-operation.
Data review
The Weldapp enable the performance of basic review of the data on the ‘welded joint life’, such as sorting by a selected parameter and filtering according to several available filters. Any time during the project performance the data stored can be exported in order to, e.g., combine with the as-built documentation of the fabricated structure. The export of data on the welded joints is effected in an electronic format which makes the review of the data (dates, status, parameters, etc.) and related documents (technical drawings, WPS, NDT reports) easy. The exported data can also be transfer red to the Principal or Classification Society.
Technical information
The application interface operates in the environment of standard browsers so no extra software is needed to be installed on user’s hardware – certain Users of the application can perform transactions from any location and any computer if they have access to the Internet.
The access to the data base is protected by an individual login and password and the privacy is assured by SSL certificate usually used for the purpose of e-banking.
The application is installed in the server area together with the data base and the data base is regularly stored in order to make data recovery possible. The application can be available to our Customers at a customized address: e.g. https://your-name.weldapp.pl
